Earlier today I had the pleasure of attending a very selective breakfast for the launch of HIM, a brand new grooming range that is going to take the grooming world by a storm. The breakfast was attended by a very few key journalist and bloggers (ahem) and we all shared a breakfast with the man behind the brand, John Barrowman.

and as we sat down for nom nom’s and got our hands on the products it became quickly very clear what this range is all about. If I had to describe HIM in three words I would say: CLEAN, SIMPLE, EFFECTIVE. Easy as that.

JB has been heavily involved with the products from the start, even going as far as “using” his partner as a test human as he will give JB his honest opinion of what he likes etc. He goes to say that since his skin is very sensitive, he wanted all the products to be alcohol and paraben free. JB goes to explain that he wanted create and stand behind a new grooming brand that was easy, strong and something he would use too. He didn’t want to brand the range as “John Barrowman” as he wants HIM to have its own brand identity all together. Something that I admire as it would be fairly easy to sell any product with his name attached, but HIM is something that he believes in.

JB is by the way one of the nicest people I have ever met, funny, playful and clearly a morning person. He came across very knowledgeable and I must admit, his skin did look amazing. He speaks of HIM with passion and with a sparkle in his eyes. He set out to create a grooming brand that was not going to be complicated and confusing but easy and effective. My testing phase starts on this weekend and I shall of course keep you all posted.
