John Barrowman dancing in Strictly Come Dancing Christmas Special

He's currently on a concert tour of the UK, but John Barrowman has just announced that he will be performing on the Strictly Come Dancing Christmas Special. It will be pre-recorded and broadcast on BBC1 on Christmas Day when Barrowman will be appearing as Aladdin in panto in Glasgow.

He will join contestants including television presenter and host Fern Britton who has danced on our screens before in Let’s Dance for Comic Relief.

John said: "I'm ecstatic - I've watched Strictly since the first series. I am looking forward to the challenge as it's so different to any of the dancing I've done in musicals. But more than anything I am so looking forward to the costumes. I can guarantee this - there will be sequins."

Producers are hoping to attract high-profile celebrities who were unable to commit to the original series because of the amount of time involved. Stars taking part in the Christmas special will reportedly have to rehearse and film the show within two weeks.

The show is recorded on 29 November 2010 and will air on Christmas Day

по диогонали читала отчеты с концертов Джона. ВОснавном все одно и тоже, и я уже примерно предстоялаю сюжет и все истрии что Джон там разазывает, вот тут собрала те разказы которые у нас открывают немного Скотта, или отношения ДБ/Гевин или прото ржач.

Desperate Housewives villain and Liverpool FC fan John Barrowman lent his support to the Reds' in their ongoing courtroom troubles on a city centre shopping spree.
The 43-year-old, famous for his role as Captain Jack Harkness in Doctor Who and Torchwood, had as his hands full as he stocked up on memorabilia from the club shop.
Scottish-born Barrowman was spotted in multi-million pound shopping centre Liverpool ONE with a load of football tops and Reds legend Kenny Dalglish's autobiography.
And the musical performer, who recently appeared in Andrew Lloyd Webber's talent show 'Any Dream Will Do' said he'd do anything to see his team's ownership debacle resolved.
John said: "I'm a Liverpool fan through and through.
"We gotta sort this problem out as quickly as possible.
"It kills me to see my team in this mess."
The actor has also appeared on celebrity ice skating show Dancing on Ice and was snapped with mum Marion and dad, John Sr, who emigrated to America when he was nine-years-old.
A fellow shopper said: "I can't believe it's Patrick Logan from Desperate Housewives just casually walking round.
"He is such a handsome man. I wish I could have spoken to him."
Barrowman is back on British TV screens this week for BBC's Torchwood, which is now in its third series.

Чтобы не спойлерить. так как я уже подсадила 3 человек на это. Просто скажу ВАУ! но не моя любимая серия если честно. но огого.
и судя по рекламе, на следающей недели вообще будет пол серии чуть ли не про Томаса, я тока надеюсь что они не разкроют его персонаж и неперестанут его маломальски в сюжете двигать дальше после следающего раза.
